That Old Shed

Others see an old, ruined, crumbling shed.

But I see memories, joy, perfection.

That door is where we used to measure our height.

That loft is where we used to have sleep overs.

Right there, that spot you're standing on, that is where I had my first kiss.

That corner is where your grandpa would make the beautiful woodwork we have in our house.

And over there, in that spot, that's where your aunt stepped on a nail. Didn't walk for three days.

Oh, and by that ladder is where your uncle used to pretend to be Tarzan. He would swing to these boards across the ceiling.

We used to hang lights in here and sleep in a tent in the middle of the floor.

The memories in this place can never be replaced.

So that's the story, that's why we bought this place.

So you kids can make memories like me and my siblings did.

Memories to last you a lifetime.
